GETTING BETTER ALL THE TIME
You guys may have noticed that the site moves sluggishly at times, or that there are occasional micro-outages where you have to refresh four times to get a page to load. That's because the servers we're on can't handle the traffic we're getting. So we're doing something about it - tonight CHUD is being moved to bigger (and more!) servers, which means things should get faster and better on the site.

We don't anticipate any outages (although the forums will be closed for a little while as the move is made), but you never know with this sort of thing, so be patient and stay tuned. By this time tomorrow, it'll be like browsing a whole new CHUD.

CONNED AGAIN
In a few hours I'll be heading to San Diego (on a special Fox Walden City of Ember train!) and Russ will be following me down a few hours after that. Yes, it's Comic Con time again.

That means things may be a little sparse around here through the weekend. We'll be on site getting news and interviews, but we won't have a lot of time to be uploading things to the interweb. For the quickest news from the Con, follow our Twitter feeds: devincf and russ_fischer. We'll also update with quickies in this news pane and with longer stories as time allows. This year Eagle Eye is sponsoring free wifi in the convention center; that could mean more access for us or less, depending on whether 20,000 people try to use the wifi at once.

In the meantime keep your browsers pointed right here as we'll be busting ass to bring you news and opinions from Comic Con 2008.
